Sunrise or Sunset

What is your favourite time of day?

It’s got to be either sunrise or sunset.

They are such beautiful times of the day, especially outdoors and sailing.

Sunrise can be a huge relief, after a difficult night of sailing and facing the prospect of an off watch, some food and rest.

Sunset is often the most beautiful time of day and a chance to reflect on memories, plan and prepare for tomorrow. A social time.

I’m really a morning person, so although I enjoy sunset the most, I think my favourite time is sunrise. It’s a bit of a treat to be awake at sunrise and experience the first awakening of the new day. It’s often missed, asleep, so a beautiful sunrise is a rare and precious time.
